Word of mouth, compensated
Introduce a serious player or a serious firm
The Stoic Gambler grows by introduction — players who keep defensible records know other players who should, and CPA firms know each other. Both introductions pay.
For players
A free month, both ways
- Every account has its own referral code, on the Plan screen once you're signed in
- When a new player signs up with your code, you each earn one free month of paid access
- No cap on referrals — twelve qualified players is a free year
- Credit lands when the referred account activates a paid plan
For CPA firm introductions
A $790 annual credit per qualified firm
- Introduce a CPA firm that opens a workspace and hosts at least one player client
- When the firm subscribes, you earn a $790 annual credit — a full founding-firm year
- The referred firm gets its founding rate locked and a personal onboarding call
- CPA firms referring other firms earn the same credit against their own workspace
The rules, in plain terms
- A referral counts when the new customer subscribes — sign-ups alone don't pay out
- Referral codes never grant access to anyone's records; they are attribution only
- Self-referrals and duplicate accounts don't qualify
- Credits apply to subscription billing and have no cash value
- If you hold a CPA license, your state board may require written disclosure to clients when you earn referral fees — check your board's rules first
Qualified means a real customer who subscribes — not a sign-up, a trial, or a duplicate account.
